In the summer of 2020 The Unity Flag Project creatives from all over the United States of America were invited to create a Unity Flag in order to promote empathy for bipartisanship in a time of political unrest. These flags represent a unification of our nations community coming together through the process of art making in a holistic and positive manner. Led by Assistant Professor Dr. Meaghan Brady Nelson
prompting unity and celebration amidst the 2020 Presidential Debate. The Unity Flag Project provides artists with an opportunity to engage in constructive civil discourse.

These flags were installed in the Leu Center for the Visual Arts at Belmont University on 11 August 2020.
